Dutch/Spanish born designer Margarita de Bourbon de Parme is driven by the natural world surrounding her forest situated studio as much as her intuition and curiousness. The Dutch landscape, the movement of light and graphic patterns in nature are part of a world of creative optimism in which she translates her clear vision into objects of fine craftsmanship.

Margarita has been working as interior designer for two decades and is currently working as a product designer for her own brand. She designs furniture rugs and jewelry. “My work is about being inspired, finding ways to reflect nature, the experience of silence and simplicity, enjoying textures, new materials, playing with light and a simple line”.

Rembrandts Gold # 1
Especially for Masterly – the Dutch in Milano Nicole Uniquole introduced Princess Margarita to the remarkable furniture maker Wilfred Kalf. They will be presenting a cabinet inspired by the spice cabinets of the Golden Age as seen at the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum.

Based on bold graphic patterns drawn from nature, pepper, the Golden Age’s black gold. ¬It is made of walnut from a locally felled tree from the province of South Holland. The pattern is engraved in brass, a technique that was also popular with Rembrandt in the Golden Age.

Furthermore she is exhibiting her delicate side table –  SAKURA FUSION – inspired bij the Japan’s cherry blossom. It is a fusion piece between furniture and jewelry, as part of the marquetry is wearable as a brooch or hairpiece.

Her fine jewelry collection – Leaves@ – are also displayed at the Palazzo Francesco Turati.
